Mortimers Wines
- Mortimers Family Wines was planted in 1995 when Peter and Julie relocated to country NSW after his career with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. They purchased 50 acres just North of Orange and planted their “Chestnut Garth” Vineyard with the help of their 5 sons. Fast forward 30 years and you will still find Peter, Julie and their son Daniel Mortimer proudly serving their wines from their Cellar Door – a beautifully restored Public Schoolhouse est 1866. The heritage listed Schoolhouse is the perfect place to enjoy their award winning cool-climate wines in which they have become famous for.Â
Commemorative Wine Pack
To celebrate 90 Years of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, we proudly launch the limited edition 90th Commemorative Wines pack. This collaboration between the Bulldogs and Mortimer Family Wines represents everything great about this club. Hard work, dedication to a joint cause and family first!Â
The Mortimer name is synonymous with the Canterbury Bulldogs with Steve, Peter and Chris playing over 600 games for the club in the 70’s and 80’s. Premierships in 1980, 1984, 1985 and 1986 cemented this team as one of the greats and etched the brothers into the Bulldogs Hall Of Fame”. For 30 years, Peter Mortimer and his family have worked their vineyard in the Orange Wine Region producing exceptional cool-climate wines. This Commemorative 90th Anniversary wine celebrates the enduring connection between the Mortimer family legacy and the Bulldog’s storied history.
The Champions Shiraz
It’s fantastic for the Mortimer name to remain closely associated with the Bulldogs. We raise a glass to all those who proudly wear blue and white. From the field, to the sheds and most of all in the stands. It’s great to be a Bulldog.
