It has been 30 years since the Mortimer family turned the soil at our “Chestnut Garth” vineyard and planted our first Chardonnay vine. 7500 vines and 5 varieties later the family sat together and shared the first bottle of Mortimers Wine, a very rewarding experience. 30 years on you will still find the Mortimer family proudly serving our wines at the Schoolhouse Cellar Door. 

Join us as we open the gates to the estate and our reserve cellar for some sparkling and canapes in the vines, followed by a banquet under the stars (or our barrel hall if it’s raining). Each course, deliciously catered by local chef Darren Tracey and his team – will be paired with one of our finest reserved wines from the last 30 years and the garden bar will be open for additional beverages.
